Welcome to the Polk County Sheriff's Office News Room, where the Public Information Officers (PIO's) post all of the information that they release to the news media. PIO's act as liaisons between news media organizations and the Sheriff's Office. The PIO's routinely release timely and accurate information and Crime Stoppers bulletins, and respond to routine and "breaking news" media inquiries. 41-year old Trenton Michael Watkins & 39-year old Rachel Marie Perez, both of Kissimmee, were arrested by the Polk County Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning, May 6, 2025.
The pair is blamed for multiple residential burglaries in Poinciana that occurred between April 18th and May 5th.
PCSO deputies located the couple Wednesday and performed a traffic stop on a white Ford Escape that the suspects used to commit the burglaries.
The vehicle was driven by Perez, who didn't have a valid license, nor motorist insurance. Methamphetamine was found inside the vehicle.
The investigation revealed that the couple had taken multiple appliances and sold them. Some of the items have been recovered, and detectives are working to recover the rest.
Trenton Watkins was charged with: Burglary of a Residence (4 counts), Grand Theft from Dwelling (4 counts), Dealing in Stolen Property, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary (4 counts), False Owner Info Pawnshop, Traveling Across County Lines (4 counts), VOP, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,
Rachel Perez was charged with: Burglary of a Residence, Grand Theft from Dwelling, Dealing in Stolen Property, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Traveling Across County Lines, DWLSR, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Maintain Insurance.
They have both been booked-in at the Polk County Jail.
