PCSO Detectives Arrest Kissimmee Man for Possession of Child Pornography

Media Contact: Carrie Horstman, PIO

On Thursday, February 25, 2016, PCSO Undercover Computer Crimes detectives arrested 42-year-old Felix Nunez of 725 Pelican Court in unincorporated Kissimmee, and charged him with 20 counts Sexual Performance by a Child - Enhanced (F-2) (FSS 827.017).

According to the affidavit, a Seminole County Sheriff's detective conducting a proactive investigation into the distribution of child pornography identified someone at the aforementioned address using a peer-to-peer file sharing program to download and share images depicting child pornography.

On February 25, 2016, PCSO detectives executed a search warrant at the home, and spoke with Nunez and his live-in girlfriend. Nunez told detectives the laptop in the home belonged to him and was only used by him. He told detectives he downloads music on the laptop through a file sharing program and "accidentally" downloads child pornography almost every time he downloads music.

During an on-scene preview of the laptop, detectives located 20 videos depicting children ages 2 to 12 years old, displayed in a lewd manner and/or being sexually abused by adults or with other children.

Nunez was taken into custody without incident, and booked into the Polk County Jail. Detectives will conduct a forensic analysis on the laptop, and further charges are pending the outcome of the analysis.
